First Class Train Experience
Seats in First Class have more space, extra leg room and are generally wider than Standard Class seats. Everyone faces the same direction with two recliner seats on each sides of the isle hence a little more privacy. Besides the complimentary drinking water, first class also gives you access to the restaurant. The food is affordable and descent so you can grab a bite and enjoy the ride to Diani.
First Class Train is air-conditioned offering a cool ride all the way to your preferred destination. The train ride itself is quite smooth though one gets the sense the train is moving much slower than the indicated speed. On average, the train moves at about 120 km/h.
Another advantage is that, one may easily spot wild animals such as zebras and elephants especially as the train traverse through Africa’s largest wilderness reserves - Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. Upon arrival at the Mombasa Terminus, you will be met by Across Wilderness Expedition representative for a ride to your Mombasa/Diani Beach Hotel.
