10 Days Big Five Fly Experience

Your transfer driver/guide will be waiting for you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport holding a sign with "Across Wilderness Expedition" on it. You will then be driven to Sankara Hotel in Westlands. After completing the check-in formalities with immigration, your driver will transfer you to your Sankara hotel for some relaxation and to help you combat jet lag while you reenergize for the next day flight safari to Olpejeta Wildlife Conservancy.

8:00 AM –Across Wilderness Expedition driver will be waiting at your Sankara hotel, to pick your group up for a short ride to Wilson Airport for your chartered flight.

Get ready to kick off your air safari as you take off and soak in the beautiful morning light over Kenya's savannahs, homesteads, and forests. The flight lasts approximately 45 minutes, and you’ll land at an airstrip close to the conservancy.

Upon arrival, Across Wilderness Expedition English speaking driver guide will be there to greet you with your own private open top 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. Climb aboard, and we’ll make our way to the conservancy in no time. Your game viewing adventure begins as we journey to your safari lodge/camp.

Once you freshen up and enjoy lunch, we’ll set off for an afternoon game drive to discover the incredible sights of this compact yet vibrant wildlife Sanctuary. Get your camera ready because Olpejeta offers endless opportunities for stunning safari photographs. As late afternoon approaches, we’ll return to your accommodation to unwind, enjoy dinner, and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Today we will enjoy our hearty breakfast before we are transferred to the nearby airstrip for your chartered flight to Samburu. As you travel, take in the vibrant fields and forests of Kenya coming to life, with possible glimpses of the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Kenya on the horizon.

You'll arrive at an airstrip near Samburu National Park, where your professional driver guide will greet you and escort you to a private, open top 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. This sturdy vehicle will serve as your main mode of transportation throughout your safari adventure in the three touristic destinations (Olpejeta, Samburu and Amboseli National Park). Settle in at your lodge or tented camp, and prepare to embark on an adventure to explore the wildlife of this vast and largely untouched park.

We’ll be on the lookout for all the magnificent big game in this beautiful ecosystem, with a particular focus on elephants as we navigate the rugged, arid landscape. Flowing through the park, the Ewaso Nyiro River creates a lush ribbon of green along its banks, drawing in an abundance of wildlife in search of nourishment, making it an ideal location for animal viewing.

As evening approaches, we’ll return to your accommodation to relax after our exciting day of safari and enjoy a delicious dinner.

The entire day is yours to enjoy as you wish! You can embark on as many game drives as you like or take some time to relax at your accommodation—it’s all up to you. Just let your driver guide know how you’d like to spend your day.

During your game drives, keep an eye out for elephants, lions, buffalo, zebra, antelope, and a variety of other wildlife. One of the advantages of Samburu is its relative seclusion, meaning you’ll encounter fewer other safari-goers and have more space to appreciate the beauty of the park.

Samburu is particularly special as it is home to several endangered species, including the Somali ostrich, Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx.

Toward evening we might see a beautiful African sunset as we head back to our safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

By now, you’re familiar with the safari routine: rising early to witness the dawn and the wildlife awakening in the park. It’s also the perfect time for a leisurely game drive through the landscape you’ve come to know.

After breakfast, we’ll take one last drive through the park as we head to the nearby airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara. At around 9am, after bidding farewell to your guide, you'll embark on a scenic flight to the iconic Mara region.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your next guide from JW Marriott Hotel, who will be ready and waiting with an open top 4x4 Land Cruiser. Climb aboard, and we'll set off for one of the most renowned wildlife parks in the world.

As you journey into the Masai Mara, you’ll be greeted by vast sprawling savannahs and gently rolling hills dotted with distinctive acacia trees and home to over 95 species of mammals.

The Masai Mara is celebrated for having the highest concentration of wildlife in the region. It's famous for its prides of lions, alongside cheetahs and elusive leopards that roam the landscape at night. The stunning vistas of this park leave a lasting impression on all who explore its vibrant horizons.

Over the next six days, we’ll embark on unlimited game drives, encountering elephants, rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and a myriad of bird species soaring through the skies and perched in the trees. Dinner and overnight stay in a tented camp/Lodge

Prepare for an early start to fully experience the breathtaking beauty of Masai Mara and its incredible wildlife. Take some time to speak with your driver/guide about different areas of the park and the unique sights you can expect to encounter.

A must-see spot is the Mara River, particularly famous during the Great Migration from July to October. Here, you will witness one of the planet’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles.

Countless wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles pour into the park from the neighboring Serengeti as they embark on their annual journey in search of food and water. The sight of hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of these grazing animals is truly awe-inspiring.

This natural event attracts a variety of predators, including crocodiles lurking in the Mara River and a host of big cats ready to pounce. It’s a vivid portrayal of life in the wild, where each species plays its role in the intricate balance of predator and prey. For a truly unforgettable perspective, consider our optional early morning hot air balloon safari with Across Wilderness Expedition. You’ll drift gracefully above the park and witness the Great Migration from the sky, taking in the stunning panorama of wildebeests stretching as far as the eye can see. On our final morning of safari, we’ll make it memorable with one last game drive through the park. By now, you’ve become seasoned safari enthusiasts and likely have a good sense of where to spot wildlife in their natural habitat.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at JW Marriott Hotel, we’ll make our way to the airstrip for your one and half hour flight back to Amboseli National Park, scheduled to depart at 9am. Take a moment to bid farewell to your guide as you prepare for a picturesque journey, taking in the stunning views of the park from above.

You’ll arrive in Amboseli around 11am, where a driver from Across Wilderness Expedition Ltd will be waiting to take you to your Amboseli lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

We’ll rise early for an exciting day of game drives. Let’s set out before breakfast to experience the park waking up to a new day, where you might catch sight of elephant families making their way to their favorite watering holes.

After our morning adventure, we’ll return for breakfast before embarking on more wildlife viewing. You can set the pace for the day. Feel free to enjoy as many game drives as you wish, or take some time to relax at your lodge or tented camp—the choice is yours.

After lunch, we’ll discuss which areas of the park we’d like to explore further. One popular destination is Observation Hill, where the summit offers breathtaking views of the park and the marshlands, teeming with birds and other wildlife. You’ll also have the opportunity to leave the 4x4 behind and stretch your legs as you explore on foot.

As evening approaches, the clouds shrouding Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak may clear, unveiling one of Africa's most iconic sights. It will then be time to head back to our accommodation in Amboseli to savor our final evening of safari.

By now, you’ve become familiar with the park, and there may be some areas you'd like to explore again. Just let your guide know, and off you'll go to seek more wildlife sightings.

We’ll then return to our lodge or tented camp for a relaxing breakfast, surrounded by the stunning ambiance of Amboseli. Afterward, it’s time for our final game drive as we make our way back to the airstrip for our short flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

Once at the airport, Across Wilderness Expedition driver will be waiting to take you to your Sankara Hotel in Westland for last night in Nairobi Kenya.

On September 8th, your transfer driver from Wilderness Expedition will collect you from Sankara Hotel at around 4am so that you be at the airport 3 hours before check in.
